The End of the Show: The Truman Show

The profound moment in the movie "The Truman Show" where Truman realizes his world is a television set. His boat has just bumped into the giant screen/wall. What he thought was a vast expanse of blue sky was just an illusion.

"Who are you?" says Truman to the voice coming from the sky.
"I am the creator of a television show that gives hope and joy and inspiration to millions."
"Then who am I?" Truman says.
"You were the star."
"Was nothing real?"
"You were real. That's what made you so good to watch."

At which point the creator attempts to talk Truman into staying, reminding him that the world out there is unpredictable, and that if he stays on the set then no harm will come to him.

At which point Truman turns his back on the illusion and departs.
